Completed the doctoral degree program of the Department of Natural History Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Hokkaido University
He specializes in space science.He analyzed presolar grains and devoted himself to clarifying the formation processes of the galactic system and the solar system.After earning his Ph.D., he was involved in developing analytical equipment as a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Mass Spectrometry Group in the Department of Physics, Graduate School of Science, Osaka University. He deepened his expertise on analytical equipment.Obtained the position of Specially Appointed Assistant Professor at Hokkaido University in 2011.He has developed high-spec analytical devices that exceed conventional standards and has evaluated their performance.He loves analytical equipment and baseball.

He specializes in computer simulations of the ocean and climate. After working for a global warming estimation project of the National Institute for Environmental Studies, he started work as the project operation assistant in an externally funded project of Hokkaido University.

He has been studying evolutionary/ecological interactions between alien and native insect species. He served as the coordinator of the multilateral sustainability education program, collaborating with overseas universities at the Center for Sustainability Science, Hokkaido University.His hobby is photography. Using his photos, he disseminates information on overseas research and education.

Yuki Takagi

Completed the doctoral degree program in Agricultural, Environmental and Development Economics at Ohio State University.Ph.D. (Agricultural Economics)
After working as a research administrator at private institutes, she became an administrative assistant at the Research Institute for Electronic Science, Hokkaido University in 2009, and then a technical assistant in the Faculty of Science, Hokkaido University. Currently, as a global URA, she is in charge of managing international open invitations for collaborative study, collecting information (mainly on overseas research trends, including national research policy and research administration systems) and developing a collaborative research system at the university with overseas research institutes.

Masaki Kato

He specializes in molecular biology and neuroethology. Prior to his current position at Hokkaido University, he served as a temporary employee in the NEDO Project, a teacher in a chair course of the Graduate School of Medicine and the School of Medicine, Chiba University, a researcher at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute, a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor in the GCOE Program of Keio University and a FIRST Program researcher at the RIKEN Brain Science Institute.

Prior to the current position, he served as a researcher in the Faculty of Advanced Life Science at Hokkaido University, as Assistant Professor at the Hokkaido University Museum and as a manager at private businesses in Sapporo (two years) and in Tokyo (one year).
His educational background is molecular biology. He specializes in protein 3D structures.
He enjoys fusing different fields and disciplines and encountering the unknown.

Prior to her current position, she was a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA, a Lecturer in the Faculty of Human Life and Environmental Sciences at Showa Women's University and a Specially Appointed Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Advanced Life Science at Hokkaido University.While working for the university, she also developed technology in a university spin-off venture company.Her research experience involves biochemistry, especially sugar chains, and it ranges broadly from the clarification of molecular revolutions in insects and birds to the development of a diagnostic device for detecting cancer from a single drop of blood.

Master of Science from the Faculty of Environmental Earth Science, Hokkaido University.
Ms. Wada joined a manufacturing company that was involved in developing analytic devices. There, she worked in the New Business Development Department, and the Human Resources Department, supporting the scientific staff. She is a career consultant of the Japan Productivity Center.

Hiromitsu Uehara

Completed the doctoral program of the Department of Chemistry, Graduate School of Science, Hokkaido University in 2009. Ph.D. (Science)
After earning his Ph.D., he was involved in thin-film formation of porous media and its evaluation as a postdoctoral fellow of the ERATO project at the Japan Science and Technology Agency, and then he obtained the position of specially appointed assistant professor at the Catalysis Research Center (the current Institute for Catalysis), Hokkaido University. His research there involved the structural analysis of catalysts by synchrotron X-rays, and he worked on a joint project with the High Energy Accelerator Research Organization (KEK). After that, he joined a private company that was involved in product development. He has held his current position since 2016. He specializes in coordination chemistry, electrochemistry, surface science and catalytic chemistry.

Prior to her current position at Hokkaido University, she worked as a junior fellow in the Faculty of Law, Hitotsubashi University and then served as an Alternate Representative of Japan to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada.
She specializes in International Law and International Air Law. Her hometown is Kushiro, Hokkaido.
