| CRIS, a center for the accumulation of knowledge, is conveniently located in Hokkaido University's North Campus on a large, 30-hectare site that hosts many Hokkaido University-affiliated research facilities, Japan Science and Technology Corporation's Innovation Plaza Hokkaido, Hokkaido's four prefectural research institutes, and Collabo Hokkaido. This collaborative industry-academia-government research center was recently approved as a Sapporo Venture Business Creation Special Zone. As the headquarters of this R&D center, CRIS creates knowledge and returns its benefits to society and the community. Aiming at the science- and technology-driven vitalization of the economy and region, CRIS intends to publish its research findings throughout Hokkaido and Japan. |
